  Notes	Louis and Marie lived in Jersey, at first in St Brelade, then in St Saviour. Family papers include a document, in French, an 'extract from the register of burials of the parish of St Saviour, Isle of Jersey'. This extract certifies that Louis Le Bailly was buried on 18 March 1808, is dated 5th May 1823, and is signed by Edouard Durell , A.M., Rector of St Saviour. Jean, the eldest son, was a lieutenant in the Navy. He was taken prisoner in 1803 and imprisoned at Verdun. While in France he married a second time. His wife was Ann Chevarry, and she bore two children: Charles, an artist, & Lucie. After his release Jean established a school in France at Coutances attended by several Jersey boys including his nephew Joshua. Marie-Elizabeth married Rev. Jean Sohier in St Saviour on 1st June 1806, and had a son Jean in 1809, who married Marie's niece Anne Le Bailly, and became the Protestant pastor at Nantes.
