Robert (I) de Neville, Lord of Raby was born circa 1223 at Raby, County Durham, England. He was the son of Geoffrey (VII) de Neville and Joan de Monmouth. He married, firstly, unknown wife (?). He married, secondly, Ida (?) before 13 April 1273. He died before 20 August 1282 at Raby, County Durham, England.

He gained the title of Lord of Raby [Feudal]. He gained the title of Lord of Brancepeth [Feudal]. He fought in the campaigns against the Welsh in 1257. He held the office of Keeper of Bamburgh, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Norham and Werk Castles in 1258. He held the office of Sheriff of Northumberland between January 1258 and November 1258. He held the office of Justice of the forests beyond the Trent in 1261. He was commander of the King Henry III's forces beyond the Trent in 1263. He was Captain of the defence of York on 12 June 1263. He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire on 13 June 1263. He held the office of Chief Justice of the forests beyond the Trent in 1265. He was Commissioner to hear the pleas of disinherited persons from 1267 to 1268. He was Chief assessor of the fifteenth (a tax) in Northumberland and Westmorland in 1275. He held the office of Keeper of Scarborough Castle in 1277.

Ralph Neville, 1st Baron Neville de Raby (18 October 1262 / 1270 - 18 April 1331) was an English aristocrat and member of the powerful Neville family, son of Roger de Neville and Mary Tailboys. He married first Euphemia de Clavering daughter of Robert de Clavering (5th Baron of Warkworth & Clavering) and Margaret La Zouche, with whom he had fourteen children. His second marriage was to Margery de Thwenge, daughter of John De Thwenge and Joan De Mauley.

Ranulf de Neville, 1st Lord Neville was born on 18 October 1262 at Raby, County Durham, England. He was the son of Robert (II) de Neville and Mary fitz Ranulf. He married Eupheme FitzRobert, daughter of Robert FitzRoger, 1st Lord FitzRoger and Margaret de la Zouche, in 1282 at Warkworth, Northumberland, England. He married, secondly, Margery de Thweng, daughter of John de Thweng, before 1331. He died circa 18 April 1331 at Raby Castle, Durham, County Durham, England.

He was also known as Randolph. On 11 January 1283/84 he had livery under writ. He was created 1st Lord Neville, of Raby [England] on 24 June 1295. In 1303 he was chief of the delegation summoned by the King to set forth the grievances of the people against the Bishop of Durham. In 1313 he was found guilty of incest with his daughter, Lady de Faucomberge. He held the office of Keeper of the Peace in 1325.

Ralph married Euphemia de Clavering 1282, Warkworth, Northumberland, England. Euphemia (daughter of Robert de Clavering, 5th Baron Warkworth & Clavering and Margaret La Zouche) was born Abt 1266, Warkworth, Northumberland, England; died 1329, Warkworth, Northumberland, England; was buried Staindrop, Durham, England. Ralph Neville, 2nd Baron Neville de Raby (c.1291 - 5 August 1367) was an English aristocrat, son of Ralph Neville, 1st Baron Neville de Raby and Euphemia de Clavering.

Neville led the English forces to victory against the Scottish king David II of Scotland at the Battle of Neville's Cross on 17 October 1346.

Ralph de Neville, 2nd Lord Neville was born circa 1291. He was the son of Ranulf de Neville, 1st Lord Neville and Eupheme FitzRobert. He married Alice Audley, daughter of Hugh Audley, 1st Lord Audley (of Stratton Audley) and Isolt de Mortimer, after 14 January 1326/27. He and Alice Audley obtained a marriage license on 14 January 1326/27. He died on 5 August 1367 at Raby Castle, Durham, County Durham, England.5 He was buried at Durham Cathedral, Durham, County Durham, England.

He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. In 1319 he was captured by the Scots at the death of his brother, Robert, but was ransomed by his father, for a crippling sum. He held the office of Constable of Warkworth Castle in 1322. In 1324 he was appointed with the Earl of Angus to escort the envoys of Robert Bruce to York, to treat for peace. He held the office of Steward of the Household between 1331 and 1337. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Neville, of Raby [E., 1295] after 18 April 1331. He held the office of Warden of the Scottish Marches in 1334. He held the office of Keeper of Bamburgh Castle in 1335, for life. He held the office of Keeper of the Forests beyond the Trent in 1336, for life. He fought in the siege of Dunbar in 1338. He was a member of the Council of Prince Edward as Keeper of the Realm between 1338 and 1340. He fought in the relief of Perth when besieged by the Scots in 1339. He was Commissioner of the peace in Cumberland, Northumberland, Westmorland and Yorkshire in 1343. He was joint commander of the forces to repel the Scots invasion of Westmorland in 1345. He held the office of Deputy Sheriff of Westmorland in 1345. He fought in the Battle of Neville's Cross on 17 October 1346, where he commanded the 1st Division. He fought in the naval battle off Winchelsea against the Spaniards on 29 August 1350.
