Was born and raised in Victoria. His grandfather, Charles Bosdet, was an award winning home builder and many of his homes are still standing around Victoria. His father, John Davis Bosdet, was an appraiser and realtor and opened his own brokerage, JD Bosdet Ltd in Victoria in 1972. He also served as a Director of the Victoria Real Estate Board. Much of his family are still in the Greater Victoria area.
